25 words on each team
25 words at the 25% mark
We have hit the “quarter-pole” of the NFL season. It’s hard to believe that four weeks of the season have raced by and we have hit the team byes. With that being said now that 25% of the season is over we going to do a quick look at each team and give a synopsis of 25 words or less. Let’s get to it!
AFC East
Buffalo - No drama this year. They have a running game now, and I think this offense just feels like it’s “different.” They are dangerous.
Miami - I feel for Tua, but this team is unwatchable without him. It feels like Mike McDaniel is getting exposed. Maybe we crowned him too early.
New England - Woah. This team is bad! With the trade deadline about a month away lets start figuring out how to get draft capital.
New York - Something is not right with this team. Whether it’s coaching, players, or both they need to get it right fast. The schedule gets tougher.
AFC West
Kansas City- What else can you say? I’m not betting against them. Things could get very dicey soon, but I like their chances with Reid and Mahomes.
Los Angeles - It feels like this team is coming. I’m not sure how it happens in 2024, but Harbaugh knows what he’s doing.
Denver - Do you “BOlieve” if so 2024 is going to be fun. Stay tuned and be patient Broncos fans. There’s something there.
Las Vegas - Has the tear down begun? Adams is on the trading block, is Crosby next? This team is awful. It’s time to reset.
AFC North
Pittsburgh - Who is the quarterback? This defense is excellent, but at some point you are going to have to score. I don’t know if they can.
Cleveland - I don’t even know where to begin. It’s same old Cleveland, maybe worse, just a different year. Watson is not good, neither is the team.
Cincinnati- Same slow start, different year. Taylor could be on the hot seat if things continue. Burrow needs to save this team, but can he?
Baltimore - They look very dangerous. Lamar continues to be a unicorn. I don’t know how he can be stopped outside of injury. Adams to Baltimore?
AFC South
Houston - Mixon is key for this offense. Without him they seem to be sputtering a bit. Will Stroud continue to grow or plateau?
Tennessee - When Mason Rudolph is the best option to move this offense down the field there are problems. Levis ain’t it. Long season ahead.
Jacksonville - I did not expect this, but nonetheless here we are. One team has made the playoffs after going winless after four games. Only one.
Indianapolis - Slide Anthony! This team is going to go as far as Richardson can take them. Joe cool is good, but not what this offense needs.
NFC East
New York - Could it be that this team is a quarterback away? Nabers looks great, the defense isn’t terrible. You tell me? Make the right choice.
Dallas - Defense is now banged up. It just feels like Dallas is in trouble. One injury to Lamb and this baby is over.
Philadelphia - The bye couldn’t have come at a better time. We will see if they can make the right adjustments, but it needs to happen quickly.
Washington - Surprise! Daniels is cooking and so is Kingsbury. I don’t know how sustainable it is, but it sure is fun to watch.
NFC West
Seattle - There is definitely something there. However, I think there is a limit. Geno is doing his thing, but make a trade deadline splash.
San Francisco - Ok Mr. Purdy, can you carry the boys? McCaffery could be in serious trouble. I trust Shanahan, but only so much can be done.
Los Angeles - Perhaps the hardest hit offense in the league is starting to feel the weight of so many missing piece. It’s not a good product.
Arizona - I love Kyler, but I just think it has run its course. Gannon often looks out coached. Kingsbury loved that win!
NFC North
Minnesota - Wow. I’m not saying they are winning the super bowl, but you have to be impressed. Can they win in London?
Green Bay - Can LaFleur finally get his roses now? That guy can coach. Love his back, this team will be just fine.
Detroit - Grit. I think this year that means riding an emotional roller-coaster. This team just needs to settle down and be consistent. Just breathe coach.
Chicago - Here comes Caleb. I don’t know if he can overcome this franchise’s yearly struggles, but he’s growing. Is there someone who can
unlock him?
NFC South
Atlanta - Is Kirk ok? I don’t like the coaching on this team. They are in the mix, but it doesn’t feel peaceful in Atlanta.
Carolina - Boy it’s awkward in Carolina. Canales made the right choice, but that doesn’t mean this team is ready to win. Far from it.
New Orleans - It feels like the smoke has settled. At the end of the day, this cap-strapped team needs a fresh voice in my opinion.
Tampa Bay - It’s fun in Tampa right now. Baker is playing well and if that continues they will be in the mix in a weak division.
