A Season in Review

The calendar has officially turned to 2025 for everyone on planet earth. With that being said it means that the 2024 NFL regular season in its final hours of existence. It’s a hard thing to comprehend every year as it just goes so fast, but this also means it’s time to have a look back at predictions and how they played out. So let’s get to it and feel free to roast me on the comment section during the next show.

New England Patriots - Under 4.5 wins (Prediction Result: Correct)

Man, this team is bad. When you look at the roster I honestly can’t find a single player that jumps off the page as elite. I do think something is there with Drake Maye, but if the Patriots lose to Buffalo in the season finale they will hold the #1 pick in April’s draft. I do believe they need to have a conversation about the QB spot or load up on picks and trade out.

Las Vegas Raiders - Under 6.5 wins (Prediction Result: Correct)

Listen it was a cute story last year as Antonio Pierce did his best to bring “fun” back to The Silver and Black, but fun doesn’t win games in the NFL. This team is in serious need of a new voice and new culture. The haul they could get for Maxx Crosby would be very substantial. I think it needs to be considered, and at the same time get a fresh start.

Minnesota Vikings - Over 6.5 wins (Prediction Result: Correct)

I cannot say enough about the job KOC has done with this team. Sam Darnold is what Minnesota hopes JJ McCarthy can become. Which is a conundrum in itself. They will have a unique off-season and a rare decision to make with a rookie QB in whom they have never seen play during a regular season game.

Dallas Cowboys - Under 10.5 wins (Prediction Result: Correct)

Wow, this got out of hand early. I admit I thought eleven was too much, but I did not think they would get off to the horrid start that they did. Injuries and just bad play was too much for the Cowboys to overcome. I’m not sure if they make a coaching change, but certainly the future looks very murky in Big D

Boy this was just ugly. I laugh at myself now, but it just goes to show how crazy an NFL season can be. Here are my predictions for each teams record in 2024.

NFC West

49ers: 12-5 Rams: 9-8 Seahawks: 7-10 Cardinals: 7-10

NFC East

Eagles: 10-7 Cowboys: 9-8 Commanders: 6-11 Giants: 4-13

NFC North

Lions: 12-5 Packers: 11-6 Bears: 9-8 Vikings: 8-9

NFC South

Falcons: 9-8 Bucs: 7-10 Saints: 6-11 Panthers: 4-13

AFC East

Jets: 11-6 Bills: 10-7 Dolphins: 9-8 Pats: 5-12

AFC West

Chiefs: 10-7 Chargers: 8-9 Broncos: 6-11 Raiders: 6-11

AFC North

Bengals: 12-5 Ravens: 11-6 Browns: 9-8 Steelers: 8-9

AFC South

Texans: 12-5 Jags: 10-7 Colts: 10-7 Titans: 8-9
